SB 171 – $50,000,000 funding of the South Dakota needs based-scholarship endowment for eligible students attending institution of education beyond the high school level, located in South Dakota, which may include all public and private nonprofit and proprietary institutions, including four-year colleges and universities, community and junior colleges, area technical or vocational schools, trade schools, technical colleges, schools of nursing or of the health professions or any institution which is determined by the executive director to be regularly accredited to offer postsecondary educational services by a recognized and appropriate accrediting agency. This would include scholarships for both Northern State University and Presentation College.
SB 84 - $2,500,000 to the Department of Veterans Affairs, for the purpose of providing grants for the design and construction of Veterans Memorial Centers in South Dakota. This could mean an allocation to the proposed Aberdeen Area Veteran’s Center in Aberdeen.
SB 155 with Amendment - $40,000,000, to the Governor’s Office of Economic Development to be used for multi-family workforce housing projects for counties with a population of one hundred thousand or less. This would include funds for projects in Aberdeen.
SB 162 with Amendment C - Appropriate $1,200,000 to be used by essential air service airports for marketing, route restoration, business development, and air service marketing grants to help restore air service to airports in the state. This means Aberdeen Regional Airport could receive $433,000.
SB 47 - $5,000,000 to the Office of School and Public Lands, for purposes of maintenance and repair of state-owned dams, including repair of Elm Lake Dam.
