The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Aberdeen Development Corporation and Absolutely! Aberdeen will be hosting the 17th Annual ABBY Awards on Thursday, September 29, 2011. Part of this awards program is an award voted on by the people of the Aberdeen Area for the People's Choice Award.

All businesses/organizations who applied in one or more of the 9 ABBY categories are eligible for the People's Choice Award. The award is presented to either a business or organization that demonstrates exceptional performance in its support of this community and makes the citizens of Aberdeen proud because of their efforts. This is the only award to be judged by local voting.

The Chamber will be accepting People's Choice Votes from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 through Wednesday, September 28 from  8 a.m. - 12 p.m.   Votes can be made on these posted dates and times by calling the chamber, emailing the Chamber, or through online voting (link to be provided during voting times). The public is encouraged to call the Chamber at 225-2860 or email info@aberdeen-chamber.com during these voting times only.

The winner will be announced at the Awards Banquet to be held on September 29, 2011 at the Dakota Events Center. The evening kicks off at 5:30 pm with an hors d'oeurve social and 7:00 pm awards and dessert.
